Parollux Project

During my internship at Makers Garage/Parollux (summer 2023) I had the pleasure to work on a project with Cunningham Automotive. The job was to create carbon graphics for their custom C8 Corvette and create animations for them for showcases/advertisement.

Process

Storyboarding Animation

To begin, the client and I began storyboarding what he wanted in the animation along with my input. We created a handful of short storyboards and picked from there.

Lighting & Environmental Settings

To insure a vibrant and cohesive animation, lighting and environment plays a huge role. In this phase I gathered setting data to show how they affect the car and scene.

Materials Study

Since our client is selling these vehicles, it is crucial for the renders to look identical to the real thing. All previous renders were done in V-Red so it was my job to replicate it in KeyShot.

Carbon Graphics

One of the C8 being offered by Cunningham is fully carbon fiber. I was assigned to create carbon color blocking graphics using silver, blue, black (clear carbon), and red.

They will be using a dyed resin to achieve this look so keeping it somewhat simple was important to the design in regards to the fabricators.
